Sport Specific Training

Spring Training at the Core Connection            

 

We have developed a 6-week, affordable program to get your teenage boys ready for their spring sport. Whether its baseball, soccer, track, or golf, now is the time to get them started. Our program will teach:


•    proper body mechanics and control
•    safe lifting techniques to strengthen correctly
•    incorporate a stretching routine that will keep their muscles flexible.


The Reward-------------→When the season starts, this will allow participants to hit the ground running, start out strong, play hard and stay fit throughout the season.


How will we do it???


Training will begin by strengthening the entire body using their own body-weight. We will use core strengthening techniques taken from our pilates programs such as planks, pushups, squats, and various types of hip work. We will incorporate specific stretches for areas of tightness that historically cause injuries during the season.


As the weeks progress, we will bring them into plyometric work that will enable them to sustain cardiovascular work intervals. Weights will be incorporated as participants gain strength. A challenging workout will be developed that will not only sustain them throughout the season, but prepare them for a life time of proper lifting technique.


The Specifics:
